     PENTAX OPTIO Z750

Quality Features

* Achieve high-precision, high-quality imaging with a 1/1.8-inch, primary color CCD with a total of 7.41 megapixels. It also incorporates a high-performance smc PENTAX lens which compromises nine elements in seven groups (two aspherical lenses) to achieve clear, high-contrast images with optimal compensation for spherical and other aberrations. The lens is treated with a unique lens coating that keeps ghost and flare to a bare minimum.
* Zoom in on the action with a powerful smc PENTAX 5X optical zoom lens. To ensure maximum shooting versatility, this 7.8mm-39mm lens offers a focal range covering angles of view equivalent to those of a 37.5mm-187.5mm lens in 35mm format. In combination with the approximate 8X digital zoom, the user can achieve a total of up to 40X zooming.
* Enjoy more natural reproduction of gradations and meticulous color compensation thanks to the newly developed ASIC (Application Specified Integrated Circuit).
* View images easily even in bright sunlight with a 1.8-inch, 134,000-pixel LCD monitor. The LCD monitor also offers the versatility of being able to swing out over a range of 180 degrees horizontally and 270 degrees vertically, which makes high-angle shooting in a crowd or low-angle shooting in Macro mode exceptionally easy.
* Handle your Optio750Z with ease due an easy-to-hold grip, a large mode dial and strategically placed levers and buttons that maximize operability. Its compact body is made of an attractive aluminum alloy and the front panel is accentuated with classic-looking leather-grained rubber.

Performance Features

* Shoot as close as 5.9 inches from the subject at all zoom ranges in Macro mode. When the zoom is set at the wide mode end, the user can move in closer still to about 0.79 inches from the subject. The Optio750Z is also equipped with Super macro mode, which allows the user to fill the whole frame with an area measuring approximately 3.37 x 2.47cm.
* Select modes quickly and easily with a large mode dial positioned on the top of the camera.
* Choose from 10 shooting modes for convenient and versatile shooting:
o Program mode allows you to take control over a combination of functions at once.
o Aperture-priority AE mode lets you choose shutter speeds manually.
o Shutter-priority AE mode gives you manual control of the aperture.
o Manual mode allows users to adjust both the shutter and aperture independently of one another.
o USER mode enables a combination of preferred settings to be saved for easy access whenever the user desires.
o Picture mode allows the user to choose from one of 12 different settings to swiftly make the most of the situation at hand.
o Panorama assist mode allows a series of shots to be taken horizontally or vertically and then aligned and combined with ease on a PC through use of the included software.
o 3D image mode lets the user produce shots that have a genuine sense of depth and perspective. Two shots can be taken following the camera's guidance, printed out with postcard dimensions, and then looked at through the optionally available viewer for a real 3D effect.
o Digital filter mode provides effects similar to conventional filters. Select from black & white and sepia shooting as well as different colors (red, green, and blue).
o Movie mode lets you record movies up to the capacity of your memory card
* Shoot movies with the sound and voice recording mode. The Optio750Z has the ability to capture VGA video with sound at a rate of 30fps (frames per second) with 640 x 480 recorded pixels up to the full available capacity of the chosen memory card. The Optio750Z is also equipped with a Voice recording mode that records audio only.
* Connect your Optio750Z directly to your printer and gain control over printing, resizing, trimming, digital filters, and other functions without the need for a PC! The Optio750Z supports PictBridge, a new direct-print standard that allows the camera to be connected to a PictBridge-supported printer directly via USB cable.
* Take control of the date function and the number of copies with DPOF compatibility.
* Produce prints that are more faithful to the original subject when you use your camera with Exif Print (Exif 2.2) and PRINT Image Matching III-compatible printers.
* Import multiple images quickly and easily into common PC applications with USB cable connectivity. The Optio750Z also comes bundled with a CD-ROM that features an exclusive USB driver as well as the popular ACDSee for PENTAX, which can be installed on both Windows and Macintosh systems.
* Crop out unwanted elements in images with the Trimming function.
* Reduce the data size of recorded shots through use of a handy Resize function. This frees up space for the capture of more shots without forcing the user to delete ones already taken. The reduced-size files can then overwrite their heavier versions or be saved as entirely separate files. Moreover, all images can be selected for resizing at once, freeing up a larger amount of memory in one easy action.
* Power your Optio750Z with rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries.

Creative Features

* Select picture modes easily with a mode pallete that displays all 12 picture mode icons at once:
o Night scene mode captures the mood of evening and night scenes and performs well shooting subjects with dark backgrounds.
o Night scene portrait mode lets you capture detail in low light by adding a small burst of flash in the foreground.
o Sport mode allows users to stop fast moving action with a fast shutter speed.
o Fireworks mode makes it easy to shoot firework displays with exceptional results.
o Food mode enables the Optio750Z to achieve natural color, convey convincing texture, and communicate the real freshness of food.
o Landscape mode makes the most of the greens and blues of scenic shots.
o Flower mode brings out all the vivid color and detail of flowers.
o Portrait mode successfully captures skin tones in a more faithful manner for more flattering results.
o Self-portrait mode lets you point the camera at yourself and achieve results that come out satisfyingly crisp despite the close nature of the composition.
o Surf & Snow mode helps to reduce the highly reflective nature of snow or water.
o Autumn color mode makes the most of reds, browns, and other colors associated with the season.
o Sunset mode captures the warmth and splendor of sunrise and sunset scenes.
* Choose from different image ratios. In addition to the traditional horizontal and vertical image ratio of 4:3, the user can also choose the 3:2 ratio, which is the equivalent ratio to that of images produced by a 35mm film camera. For those who are more used to film cameras, this ratio setting ensures a more familiar sense of composition and shooting and produces images that can be printed out with no border in a size that's the same as a conventional photograph.
* Store your images without compression with TIFF format recording.
* Convert vertically-shot images to horizontal compositions with the image rotation function.

Advanced Features

* Achieve great results in low-light conditions with an auto flash that discharges automatically in low light. The user can also make use of a flash discharge level compensation function that controls the amount of discharge by ±2EV in 1/3 steps, which is especially handy when using a flash for a subject at a close distance. The Optio750Z is also equipped with a rear curtain sync function that is ideal for capturing attractive images of light trails.
* Focus quickly and with precision with a Hybrid AF that combines TTL contrast detection with an external passive sensor system. This system allows the photographer to choose from Wide AF, Spot AF and 11-point area selectable AF. It also features an auxiliary AF LED to achieve the best possible results when shooting in low light.
* Use your Optio750Z as a high-performance digital exposure meter by selecting the Digital exposure metering mode. This mode displays EV values at up to two separate points on the monitor for high-precision metering.
* Know which parts of the image may be under- or overexposed with real-time warnings for washed-out or blacked out areas indicated on the LCD monitor.
* Choose from 5 auto bracketing functions that allow shooting with different levels of exposure, white balance, sharpness, saturation, and contrast.
* Choose from a range of white balance modes to ensure great results in different types of light. It features settings for Auto, Daylight, Shade, Tungsten, and Fluorescent light, and there is also a manual setting that lets the user take control of the selection.
* Choose from a diverse range of drive mode functions: One shot, Continuous, Auto bracket, Remote control, Self-timer, Interval shooting, and Multiple exposure.
* Customize your settings and preferences with three user profiles.
